Bring a team(s) to attend our leadership conference that will make a lasting impact in your building. A team is up to 5 middle school students*, and an advisor.
*-additional middle school student attendees can be added, please contact NELMS for more information.
This program is intended to grow personal skills in young people for community contribution and leadership! Students will participate in personal reflection, group challenges, and dynamic discussion, and return to their schools ready to start a positive wave.
What to expect:

highly engaging, interactive, and student centered

middle school participants will be invited and encouraged to do pre-interviews of their classmates and teachers ahead of the conference

real examples from adolescents making positive and lasting change in their schools will be shared

participants will set goals, and be inspired to take action

advisors and participants will be given ideas, tools and instructions to host a student leadership event at their own school
Facilitator: Brooklyn Raney, One Trusted Adult
Facilitator Bio: Brooklyn is the founder of One Trusted Adult, whose goal is to ensure that every young person has the one thing that is crucial to their well-being and success: an accessible, boundaries, and caring Trusted Adult. She is a facilitator, speaker, and consultant for schools, camps, and youth-serving organizations nationally and internationally. Brooklyn reaches a wide audience with her unique energy, interactive approach, storytelling, and humor. Brooklyn was one of our Keynote Presenters at the NELMS 41st Annual Middle Level Conference held in 2022.

9:00 am - Kick-off!
9:15 am - Solo Circle presentation: Who we are impacts how we lead (Intuition, Mindset, and Messaging)
9:45 am - Solo Circle breakout activity and discussion led by mentors
10:15 am - Break
10:30 am - Inner Circle presentation - Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future (Belonging, Friendship, and Mentorship)
11:00 am - Inner Circle breakout activity and discussion
11:30 am - Lunch & Discussion (bring your own lunch or purchase lunch at the university dining center)
12:30 pm - Mid-day energizer & Report out from Lunch Discussion
1:30 pm - Outer Circle presentation - Little ripples start BIG waves (Community, Teamwork, and Goal-setting)
2:00 pm - Outer Circle breakout activity and discussion
2:45 pm - Commitments & Conference Close

A team will be made up of five students, and one advisor. Team advisors will be given a copy of One Trusted Adult.
Southern New Hampshire REQUIRES a release form for minors visiting campus for a day program. This form must be completed for ALL STUDENTS attending and will be collected from the advisors at registration.
