Middle Level Distinguished
Student Awards Celebration
New England League of Middle Schools are leaders in promoting middle level best practices by providing collaborative learning experiences that support students’ intellectual, academic, social, and emotional growth and success.
This program is intended to give public recognition to two or more 5th-8th grade students in each state who have distinguished themselves over the course of their middle school experience by demonstrating many of the following qualities. The selection of these students is the responsibility of each school. (Selection criteria are included in each packet.)
This typically includes qualities such as:

▪Positive Interactions with others ▪Productivity ▪Respect for diversity
▪Respect ▪Service to others ▪Empathy for others
