Upcoming Workshop

Building Relationships That Work!

Friday, January 16, 2026
         Registration Deadline: January 2, 2026

Kittery Community Center
120 Rogers Rd
Kittery, ME 03904

Facilitators: Vilenti Tulloch and Timothy Allen

Building connections with at-risk students and creating a sense of belonging at school is one of the biggest challenges facing educators. When we struggle to bond with our challenging students, the whole school suffers. Students become more detached and disengaged; teachers become stressed and overwhelmed.

Fortunately, there are concrete steps we can take to foster relationships that enhance teaching and learning for all students. In this workshop, we will explore the differences between independent and dependent learners, and then progress through the four steps of building relationships and fostering a sense of belonging for our dependent learners. Teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, administrators; anyone who must form relationships with at-risk students will improve their skills and hone in on a specific strategy of connection.

If you want to improve connection, belonging, and relationships with challenging students, this workshop is for you!
