NELMS SPOTLIGHT SCHOOLS

The Hartford Magnet Middle School (HMMS) brings together 600 students in grades six through eight from Hartford and 24 surrounding districts. We provide a rigorous core academic program with a unique focus on Science, Technology and the Arts. Students enjoy a culture of high expectations and creativity where, in small classes, they regularly use leading-edge technology and specialized facilities (ranging from sculpture and dance studios to science, math, and computer labs). HMMS graduates from 8th grade are prepared to flourish in the most competitive high school programs in the region.
