In June of 2004, the Coolidge Middle School received the Intel/Scholastic
21st Century School of Distinction Award, given annually to 20 schools
chosen nationally from among public and independent K-12 schools. Coolidge
Middle School was recognized for its excellence in the category of
teamwork.
At
Coolidge, we believe that the middle school years in a child’s
education, and we recognize that early adolescence is a unique stage
of human development. Our middle school philosophy accommodates this
unique period in a student’s life and provides a better means of
ensuring success for all students by specifically tailoring our program
to young adolescents. Ultimately, our goal is to reach every student.
We believe that all students can learn, and we believe in the dignity
and worth of each middle school student. By working together, we hope
to provide a successful and seamless transition through the crucial developmental
stages in a child's education—and to build the strong
foundation for success in future endeavors.
