Planning for Appropriate Discipline Strategies
A 2-day event held in Spotlight Schools with Jim Quinn,
a dynamic and knowledgeable presenter.
This two day workshop on classroom management is designed to give teachers the tools necessary to design a comprehensive discipline plan and strategies for their classrooms. It will address specific behaviors of individual students and how to get them to stop these behaviors and get to the business of learning.
“How can they expect me to keep up test scores
when all I do is discipline kids?”
Classroom management has remained near the top of the list as one of the most disruptive actions in classrooms! It interferes with and often limits student learning for many more than the offending student(s).
Under the guidance of Jim Quinn, participants will carefully formulate a plan so that they can focus on the issues at hand and to be prepared in advance, for any number of situations that might arise. The two days will be filled with many specific strategies as well as an overview of other alternative programs and discipline models.
Each participant will work to develop a discipline plan ready to use in his/her classroom.
