We Believe

  • The middle level of schooling (10- to 14-year olds) is a distinct level of education.
  • Each middle level learner has particular intellectual, physical, social and emotional needs that require appropriately responsive school programs, policies, and practices.
  • Those who serve young adolescents continually need specialized preparation in order to
understand and respond to the particular needs of each early adolescent.
  • The New England League of Middle Schools will use and develop resources to assist its members in meeting their evolving needs.
